TTL Picks
Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks u241.5 (6:30pm CST)
Despite both of these squads being very successful to the over this season, we are taking the under in a game with a massive total. Both of these teams, in recent weeks have flipped that trend and are hitting unders with regularity, including a matchup of these teams on Sunday with a similar total that fell more than 10 points short. The Bucks are 5-1 to the under in their last six games with four of those unders closing with a total below 230. During that stretch, Milwaukee’s defense reigned supreme, with only one game getting out of hand, a game against Houston that saw Giannis exit in the second half. The Nets have also experienced a similar trend, going 5-2 to the under over their last seven matchups. We expect a very similar matchup like we saw on Sunday, finishing somewhere in the 130’s or lower. Give us the under tonight in Milwaukee. TTL Pick: Brooklyn Nets vs Milwaukee Bucks u241.5
Atlanta Braves vs Washington Nationals ML (+116) (6:05pm CST)
The Nationals have won 4 out of their last 5 matchups, and will be playing their 4th straight at home in this matchup as the Braves come to town. After a sluggish start to the season, the Nationals bats have come alive, with 6 players hitting a .300 average or above. Yadiel Hernandez leads the team with a .367 average over 30 at-bats with 1 HR, 3 RBIs, and 4 runs. The Nationals are 8-5 SU at home, and are 2-1 SU as a home underdog this season. On the opposite side of the diamond, the Braves have lost 4 out of their last 5 and are coming off 3 straight losses to the Blue Jays on the road. The Braves are 5-9 SU on the road, and are 2-5 SU as a road favorite on the season. Both of these teams got the night off last night, and the Nationals hold the edge in equal rest. The Nationals are 12-10 SU while playing a team on equal rest, and the Braves are 10-15 SU. Joe Ross is getting the start for the Nationals, and despite 1 game where he gave up 10 runs, he has been a machine this year. Over his other 4 starts this year he has only allowed 1 run, and should have plenty of juice to handle the Braves bats. Getting the home team at plus money, while they hold a better record in both spots, is a play you can’t pass up. Look for the Nats to come out red hot and continue their dominance at home. TTL Pick: Washington Nationals ML (+116)
Special Play Of The Day: Twofer Tuesday Parlay
Cleveland Indians vs Kansas City Royals ML (7:10pm CST)
This matchup will feature a couple of left handers in Sam Hentges and Mike Minor. The Indians are struggling to find their solidified fifth starter in their rotation and will turn to Hentges to make his first start of the season. Over 5.2 innings of relief, Hentges has allowed 8 hits and 3 earned runs, nothing to write home about. The Royals have fared respectably against left-handed pitching this season and will see Hentges for the first time. The Indians on the other hand, are one of the worst teams in the league against left-handed pitching, and while Minor has not been other-worldly, he has fared well against the Cleveland lineup in his career, most notably the most dangerous man that the Tribe can send to the plate in Jose Ramirez, who is a career 0-8 against Minor. Give us the Royals to beat up on Hentges, and Minor to take advantage of a brutal left handed hitting offense.
Toronto Blue Jays vs Oakland A’s o8.5 (8:40pm CST)
At the time of this writing, the Blue Jays are 3-0-1 to the over in their last 5 games, and the Jays new-found offense is starting to offset some of their early season struggles at hitting the over. The Athletics on the other hand, have been an absolute wagon to the over at home so far this season. The A’s are 10-7 to the over at home, and 8-4 to the over as a home favorite this season. Lefty, Cole Irvin, will take the mound for the A’s and at the time of this writing the Blue Jays are still undecided. The Blue Jays have hit lefties extremely well so far this year, averaging .261 with a .332 OBP, 2.9 K, and 6.04 R/9. The A’s hit righties and lefties similarly, and we like the A’s offense to stay hot no matter who they see. The over is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings in Oakland, not including last night’s game, and that trend will continue once again tonight.
Twofer Tuesday Parlay: Royals ML, TOR/OAK o8.5 Total Odds: +206
RMag’s Sidebar
On this date in 2002, Barry Bonds hit his 400th home run with the Giants to become the first player in MLB history to hit 400 home runs with one team and 100 with another. Whether you acknowledge his achievements, or not, the man was a walking bomb. When you really break down his numbers and accomplishments, I mean it’s just absolutely absurd. The guy won SEVEN MVP awards, and in 2004 at age 39 held a .609 OBP. Juice, or no juice the man knew how to hit baseballs, and teams wanted nothing to do with him at the plate. Enjoy this compilation of moonshots from the all-time home run leader.

“Keep Going”
The easiest thing that you can do in this life is quit. Giving up, throwing in the towel, or whatever you want to call it is something that takes little to no effort at all. The hardest thing you can do is to continue pushing forward. To carry on, persist, and persevere are things that take a tremendous amount of work. However, if you consistently put in the work, and choose to go on in the face of adversity, I can promise that your efforts will be rewarded. I can also promise you that your efforts may not pay off for a good amount of time, and that is something you have to be okay with if you want to be successful. What’s my definition of successful? Happy, fulfilled, and joyful. Today I wanted to give you some key on how to keep going and find success in your life.
Keep doing the right things even when the wrong things are happening. It is especially easy to give up when nothing seems to be going your way. However, “seems” is the key word in the previous sentence. Even though things may not be going well in a certain area of your life, you still have so many other areas to be grateful and thankful for. “Doing the right thing” means keeping a positive mindset even when there’s nothing but negativity coming your way all day long. It means getting up every single day, ready to pursue your passions, regardless of what obstacles you may have to overcome. The easy thing to do is feed that negativity with anger, worry, doubt, and fear. The hard thing to do is rise above those thoughts, but with a little patience and persistence you absolutely can.
Most people quit when the going gets the toughest, and unfortunately that tends to be when they’re 90% of the way to their goal. The times when you are being tested the most, are also the times when something spectacular is right around the corner. It may not feel like it, but those trying times are making you into the person that will continue to be successful once you reach your goals. What if you quit today, and tomorrow was the day that all your questions were going to be answered? If you knew that was the case, would you give up? I’m sure I could guess your answer, and it’s time you start living your life with that mindset! 99% of the people work for the 1% that didn’t quit. Do you want to be among the 99, or the 1? I could probably guess your answer to that question as well, so why not start living like it? Be the light, be the voice, and lead by example in this life. Choose to never give up, choose to never settle, and choose to never fall in line with the crowd.
Daily Challenge: Today’s phrase of the day is, “I Will Keep Going.” Write it down, put it in your pocket, and come back to it every time you feel like you might throw in the towel. You are one thought, one action, and one conversation away from achieving all of your passions. I don’t like to use the word dreams, because then that’s all they stay as. Pursue your passions and goals without hesitation, no matter what obstacle stands in your way, and watch countless doors open in your favor. “Never give up because great things take time.” “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” “Never give up on something that you can’t go a day without thinking about.” Have a spectacular Tuesday my friend.
